NO.1: Kimchi is a kind of culture

Kimchi is bloated from cabbage, red chilli sauce and anchovy paste. As you know, Kimchi is a symbol of Korean culture. The taste is strong, unique and even defiant or provocative. Some foreign tourists can’t stand the taste of kimchi, but if you can eat kimchi, you will get the respect from local people sincerely.

NO.2: Take off your shoes

When you go to Korean house, you have to take off your shoes. Otherwise, it is a very offensive behavior. Koreans always sit on the floor or even sleep on the floor, so they can’t tolerate the dirty floor. If foreign tourists go to their living rooms with shoes, they will consider them as a group of uncivilized barbarians.

NO.3: Soju

Korea has its own wine culture. They often drink the wine called Soju, which is so transparent and the taste is like vodka. Koreans drink Soju with a small glass and the atmosphere is very lively. In the evening, you often see a group of people laughing, singing and debating in the street. By the way, there are many rules when drinking Soju in Korea. For example, you can’t only just pour the wine into your cup, or when you pour Soju for older people, you should put one of your hand at the heart to show respect.
