List of Countries That Have More Migrants

According to the Reuters, the United Nations announced the latest report on world migrants. On the list, the United States which is known as built on the basis of national immigration has about 4.3 million foreign immigrants, accounting for 13.5% of the total population. Therefore it becomes the country that has the largest population of overseas immigrants in the world.

Russia ranks NO.2 in the list. It has 1.2 million overseas migrants, accounting for 8.7% of the total population. Russia’s foreign immigrants are mainly from the former Soviet Union and China.

Germany has 10.07 million foreign immigrants, accounting for 13.1% of the total population. So it the third-largest immigration destination country in the world. Nowadays, Germany is facing problems such as low birth rates and aging population, in order to stimulate the economy and import foreign investment, the government set undemanding scale on high-tech immigrants.

There are about 7.2 million overseas immigrants in Saudi Arabia, accounting for 27.8% of the total population. Saudi Arabia carries out strict naturalization policy, few foreigners can get nationality of Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, senior positions are held by local people in general, foreigners are usually engaged in manual labor and so on.

Canada has 7.0 million immigrants, accounting for the population of 21.3%. Canada’s immigration policy is not strict, so there are many economic immigrants, about more than half of the immigrants.

In the list, France, the Britain, Spain, India and Ukraine rank from the sixth to the tenth in sequence.
