Introduction About Moedlareuth in Germany
There are only about 50 villagers in a small village called Moedlareuth, which is in the south of Berlin in Germany. However, this small village now becomes a hot tourist destination because it spans the border of the former East Germany and West Germany. Parts of Berlin wall, about 100 m long, now still at here and known as the Little Berlin. Because it has strange two ideologies system at the same time, it attracts people’s attention.
The Iron wall with 2.5 meters high and lying in the center of Moedlareuth has been in existence for 38 years. Although East Germany and West Germany were unified for more than 20 years, it remains to be preserved.
The village is located in 300 kilometers south of Berlin. If visitors want to recall the history of communism before East Germany and West Germany being unified, the village is your first tourist destination.
Robert, Director of the Deutsches Museum, said the tourists at here can witness the history of reunification of the two Germanies and understand people’s living conditions at that time. In nearly 40 years, the villagers were divided into two sides by Berlin wall.
